This Mother’s Day we celebrate the Mighty Mom. Motherhood, the job, comes with precious little vacation time and only one holiday: Mother’s Day. Why some brave, kind, selfless, strong women do it? The pay is awesome: pure love. This Mother’s Day show your Mom, the mother of your children, the mother figure in your life how much she means to you. Make it count, make it special, make her feel how much you love her and how grateful you are.

It’s time for Mother’s Day, and we want to thank all the wonderful mothers out there. Whether you’re celebrating your own mom or a friend’s, here are some ideas that will help you treat her like a queen.

  1. Write a Letter

"I love you, Mom. You're the best Mom in the world."

The words may sound simple and clichéd, but they're true for many of us. Mothers are special people who deserve to be treated like queens for Mother's Day.

Writing a letter to your mom is a great way to show her how much you appreciate all that she does for you. Whether it’s making sure there’s food on the table every night or helping out with homework, moms are always there when we need them most. A letter will allow you to express how grateful you are for everything she does and let her know just how much she means to you.

What better way to say thank-you than with a handwritten note? Give your mom something that no one else can offer: an insight into what makes her so special. It might be difficult to put your feelings into words at first but once you get started it should flow naturally. There are many ways to express your feelings towards your Mom, so get your fancy stationery out and let her know what she means to you.

  1. Gather the whole family online

In today’s fast-paced world, it’s hard to find time for family gatherings. Mother’s Day is a perfect occasion to gather the entire family together online. If you can’t be physically present for your mother, then at least you can be there in spirit.

There are heaps of options for video calling, from Skype and Microsoft Teams to Zoom and House Party.

Choose a video platform that works for everyone. Some platforms are free while others require payment, so make sure your family members all have access to the same service before choosing one.

If you want to give your mom a special surprise, plan on doing this early in the day — or even as soon as possible after waking up! That way she won’t feel rushed or tired when answering her phone call from you or your siblings (or maybe even her grandchildren).

  1. Get cozy

If your mom loves movies, then why not watch one together? It doesn’t matter if it’s something new or an old favorite — the gesture will mean more than anything else.

Nothing says “I love you” like surrendering control of the remote, getting cosy, and putting on your mom’s favorite movie. You can still do this (and even better), even if you’re apart. With options like Netflix Party, you can synchronize movie streaming on multiple screens. You can also communicate through their chat bar, so you can react, comment and let each other know when you’re laughing at the funny bits.

  1.  Breakfast in bed

It doesn’t matter if it’s just one burnt pancake on a plate with no sauce or if it’s an entire tray full of food—this is one thing that will always make your Mom smile!

There’s nothing more satisfying than waking up to the smell of a freshly cooked breakfast while having the luxury of being in the comfort of your own bed. Breakfast in bed is the perfect way to celebrate, if you’re up for the challenge of waking up before mom and truly spoiling her this Mother’s Day.

The best part about breakfast in bed is that you can do it any time of day—so, it doesn’t have to be on Mother’s Day! So go ahead and make all of mom’s favourite foods and surprise her with a special breakfast in bed.

  1. Give Her Time To Rest

It's no secret that moms are busy. They're running households, managing finances and making sure the kids get to school on time. On top of all that, they're expected to be great cooks and hostess with the mostest — all while looking fabulous.

Mother's Day is a time to give your mom a break from all that hustle and bustle. Let her rest and relax without having to worry about anything else for once. Ask her if there's anything else she would like to do that evening. If she says no or wants to spend time with you, make sure she gets plenty of rest.

Sleep is her most valued commodity at this stage. Gift her with a few hours of peace and quiet.

If you've put this much effort into reading this article and planning a special Mother's Day for your Mom, she will be sure to thank you for it! And who knows, if you follow the above steps, you might even want to start a holiday tradition that could make it extra special every year! It's definitely a nice thing to do if you can. So take the time to enjoy this wonderful moment with her, a moment she'll treasure for many years to come.

Have a great Mother’s Day, and do let us know how your celebration went! We’d love to hear from you.
