Every June, Des Moines transforms into a vibrant rainbow of love, acceptance, and celebration—and Capital City Pride 2025 is set to be one of the biggest and most inclusive events yet. Whether you’re a first-time attendee or a longtime supporter, this weekend is your invitation to stand proud, show up, and celebrate everything that makes our city and our LGBTQ+ community stronger together.

What to Expect at Capital City Pride 2025

PrideFest will take place June 7–9, 2025, centered around the Historic East Village in downtown Des Moines. Here’s a preview of the exciting events planned:

• The Pride Parade – Sunday, June 9
  One of the most beloved events of the year! Expect color, creativity, and powerful messages of equality. We’ll be there—come cheer us on!
  
  
• Pride Stride 5K – Saturday, June 7 at 8:00 AM
  Walk, run, or strut your stuff with Capital City Pride. A fun and active way to kick off the weekend!
  
  
• PrideFest Yoga – Sunday, June 8, 9:00–10:00 AM
  Start your morning with movement, mindfulness, and community connection.
  
  
• Pride Worship – Sunday, June 8, 10:00–11:00 AM
  An inclusive, affirming service that welcomes all spiritual backgrounds.
  
  
• Live Entertainment All Weekend
  Enjoy local drag stars, national performers, DJs, and dancing all day long.
